A person, who is keenly interested in good food and drink, especially eating, drinking and cooking, is called a foodie.


• For the first time, the word foodie was used in New York magazine by Gael Greene in a story on 2 June 1980. It is an informal word.


• You are lucky to marry foodie. Jane enjoys cooking food and you are also interested in going out for dinner frequently.
