GRE-Model questions





This section of GRE-Model questions contains few questions taken from the old actual GRE Querstion Papers.The GRE General Test measures verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning and analytical writing skills that have been acquired over a long period of time and that are not related to any specific field of study.Answer all the questions before going to verufy the answer.You should allot adequate time for the actual preparation for GRE.Having a strong foundation in the basics of Verbal and Quantitative abilities is the secret of scoring more marks in GRE.Scoring very high marks in GRE is within the reach of all.It is as easy as reading a good book.

Verbal Reasoning:

The skills measured include the test taker's ability to

• analyze and evaluate written material and synthesize information obtained from it

• analyze relationships among component parts of sentences

• recognize relationships between words and concepts.

In this section, 30 questions will be asked.

The time limit to answer these 30 questions is 30 minutes.

And the questions will be on the following sub-sections.

1. Analogy

2. Sentence Completion

3. Antonym

4. Reading Comprehension



Quantitative Reasoning:

The skills measured include the test taker's ability to

• understand basic concepts of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and data analysis

• reason quantitatively

• solve problems in a quantitative setting.

Analytical Writing:

The skills measured include the test taker's ability to

• articulate complex ideas clearly and effectively

• examine claims and accompanying evidence

• support ideas with relevant reasons and examples

• sustain a well-focused, coherent discussion

• control the elements of standard written English.
