Transition :

People in business, politics, and education love to turn nouns into verbs; but many of their transformations irritate a good number of listeners.

High on the list of disliked terms is “transition” as a verb: “Over the next month we are going to transition our payroll system from cash to pizza discount coupons.”

You can say “make the transition,” but often plain “change” works fine.
