A Witty Tale : A Tale of Two Heads

A Witty Tale : A Tale of Two Heads

Let us enjoy reading this story of A Tale of Two Heads.

A man from Shiraz met a scholar from Damascus at the public baths.

Noting that the scholar was balding, the Shirazee upturned a brass vessel and, pointing to its rounded shining base, said to the scholar: "How is it that all you Damascenes have heads like this?"

The scholar took the vessel from the man, upturned it and pointing to its empty cavity said: "How is it that all Shirazees have heads like this?"
