What do you call a member of the Mafia?

A member of the mafia is called a "Mafioso".

The "a" in the first syllable is like the "a" in "path", "bath", and "father". The following "i" is like the "i" in "kit", "bit", and "pit". The "o" in the third and fourth syllable sound like the "o" in "go", "so", and "no".

* The stress is on the third syllable.

* The plural of "Mafioso" is "Mafiosi".
