What is the difference between Calf and Cough? :


Calf : (noun)

( 1 ) Young of cattle


( 2 ) Fleshy back part of the leg below the knee

The muscle on back of a person’s leg is called calf.



Cough : (noun)

( 1 ) Act or sound of coughing

She gave a quiet cough to attract my attention.


( 2 ) Illness, infection, etc…that causes a person to cough often

He has a bad cough.



Cough : (verb)

( 1 ) Send out air from the lungs violently and nosily to clear one’s throat or when one has a cold, etc…

She was coughing all night.


( 2 ) Get something out of the throat or lungs by coughing

He has been coughing up blood.


( 3 ) Say or produce something reluctantly

She owes me money. But she won’t cough it up.
