Lop : (verb)

( 1 ) Cut branches, twigs, etc…off a tree

He lopped several twigs off the tree.



Lope : (verb)

( 1 ) Run fairly fast with a long bounding step or stride

The tiger loped off into the jungle.



Lope : (noun)

( 1 ) Long bounding step or stride

The thief moved at a steady lope.
