Possessive Adjectives :


The words my, your, his, her, its, our, their are called possessive determiners or possessive adjectives. Use these words before nouns to say who something belongs to.

I lent Margaret my guitar.
The dentist asked his patient to open her mouth.
Is this your house?
Robert, your handwriting is difficult to read.
Michael is showing his tortoise to his friends.
My sister lost her way in the city.
The lion is chasing its prey.

First person Singular….my
First person Plural….our
Second person Singular…..your
Second person Plural….your

Third person Plural…. Their


My car is not in my home.
Our teacher has gone on long leave.
Your ball is lost.
Your parents are old.
His pencil is new one.
Her husband has gone to the city to buy a pen.
Its colour is not faded.
Their schools are not yet opened.
