During an e-chat with my British friend I mentioned the term eve teasing. She didn't understand the meaning of it.


Very often we have come across the term in our newspapers, magazines and books. It is a very common term used in India.


Is it not a term used by native speakers of English?


When she told me that native speakers of English did not use such term, I explained the meaning to her.


The term eve teasing refers to sexual harassment of women by men.


The word eve has a reference to the Biblical Eve (first woman).
