Air Can Increase Volume

Take some water in a bucket and put some detergent powder in it and stir it well. You will see the water level rising with a lot of bubbles and foam coming out. Here the volume of water has increased. The same effect you can see in another case also.

Break an egg and take out the egg white in a dish. Using a spoon beat it nicely till bubbles and foam form in it. Here again air has entered the egg white to increase it's volume.

Temperature and Heat

Different substances heat up at different rates. To prove this, take a few things like a glass piece, a brick piece, an iron piece and a copper strip. Place all of them in the sun.

After sometime go and feel the temperature of each. You will find that the different pieces are at different temperatures.

Some absorb heat fast, while others are slow. Some are good conductors of heat. So whatever is absorbed is conducted to other parts of the substance. Some are poor conductors of heat. So the part where heat is falling will be hot while other side will be relatively cold.
