Correlative Conjunctions :


A conjunction is a word which joins together two words, clauses or sentences. Conjunctions which are used in pairs are called Correlative Conjunctions. They are :


  • Neither…………………………..nor

  • Either……………………………..or

  • Not only ………………………….but also

  • Whether…………………………….or


    Examples :
    1. Mr. Rao not only smokes but also drinks.

    2. Mr. Dawood is neither smart nor honest.

    3. Either you or he has to go to market.

    4. Only God knows whether he is alive or dead.
