Antonym

The verbal Ability section of GRE consists of a group of questions on Antonym the purpose of which is to test the strength of your vocabulary.

The straightforward method of testing one’s vocabulary is to find out whether one knows the meanings of specific words.

Each question below consists of a word printed in capital letters followed by five lettered words (from A to E) or phrases. Choose the one of the lettered word that is most nearly opposite in meaning to the word in capital letters. Since few of the questions require you to distinguish fine shades of meaning, be sure to consider all the choices before deciding which one is best.
