Reading this list is a great fun, while expanding your vocabulary at the same time. It is meant to help to improve the vocabulary of the visitors, the students (who are preparing for various examinations), the authors, journalists, literati and all other people who are interested in improving their language skills.

There are many phrases which we use in our communication because others use them in theirs. Only very few of us try to understand the literal meaning behind those phrases. When such an attempt is made, we become aware of the context in which those phrases should be/should not be used.

An individual's wordrobe is his vocabulary.

For example:

• How many words have you added to your wordrobe?

• I suppose, Prakash's wordrobe is very limited.
